Doncaster Rovers boss Darren Ferguson felt his side didn`t make the right decisions in the final third as they drew 0-0 at Gillingham.

Doncaster had a number of chances to win the game with Tommy Rowe, Niall Mason, John Marquis and Alfie May having the best chances to win the game for the visitors and Ferguson felt his side dominated the game without taking their chances.

‘I thought the first half we played very well but we didn’t capitalise on the control we had and the dominance we had in the game,” Ferguson told BBC Radio Sheffield

‘They started with a three at the back, as we thought they might do but then they matched us up but we were superior in the first half, we were really dominant.

“The players know where we went wrong. It was the final decision in the final third.

‘We just didn’t make the right decision today and that is something we need to improve on.

‘The positives are it’s another clean sheet, we were solid and the first half, I was very pleased with everything apart from the fact we didn’t go in ahead.’

The point for Doncaster moves them onto 50 points for the season with seven games remaining and they are now eight points clear of the relegation zone.

Doncaster travel to MK Dons next weekend in their next game and they will feel a win would almost certainly guarantee their place in League One next season.
