Doncaster boss Sean O`Driscoll was a disappointed man after Rovers lost their first home game of the season against local neighbours Barnsley at the Keepmoat.

Doncaster looked the most likely to score with the Barnsley keeper making one great save from Martin Woods, they also had two efforts cleared off the line and a goal disallowed in the first half.

They continued to push in the second half and had a number of close efforts including hitting the bar when Barnsley stole a winning with just over fifteen minutes remaining.

Speaking on Rovers player O` Driscoll said “I`ll take the performance every week. I`m just disappointed we didn`t get the win that we deserved”.

Rovers who are struggling with injuries gave a debut to on loan Simon Gillett in midfield who settled in well.

They now have to put the defeat quickly behind them as they face Peterborough on Tuesday, in a game between two sides in the bottom five.
