Doncaster Rovers boss Paul Dickov says he was disgusted with the performance after seeing his side crash out of the FA Cup.

Rovers were beaten 3-2 at home by Stevenage, who are at the foot of League One and Dickov says he couldn`t defend his players after the performance.

Speaking on BBC Radio Sheffield, “I am disgusted with the performance. I put a side out there we felt should win the game but we never looked to pass or press the ball like we usually do.

“I am not going to defend the players like I usually back the players all the way but I am not going to after that performance.

“The most disappointing thing is, they looked like they wanted it far more than us.”

Rovers never recovered after a mistake by Paul Quinn led to Francois Zoko firing Stevenage ahead early in the second half.

Peter Hartley doubled the lead for Stevenage when an aerial ball into the middle once again undid Rovers.

Harry Forrest gave Rovers some hope when he reduced the arrears but Darius Charles scored a third for Stevenage in injury time.

Liam Wakefield pulled another goal back for Rovers but it was all too little too late as Rovers crashed out of the competition.
