Doncaster Rovers are still without a win in 2018 after going down to a 4-2 defeat at Walsall.

Doncaster conceded three goals in the second half when the two sides met at the Keepmoat Stadium earlier in the season and this time Walsall did the damage in the first half with three unanswered goals.

Two goals from Joe Edwards in the space of three minutes and a goal in first half injury time by Kieron Morris left Doncaster with a huge uphill challenge at half time.

Substitute Amadou Bakayoko made it 4-0 with less than 20 minutes remaining to end any hopes of a second half fight back by Doncaster.

Doncaster did manage to make the score line slightly respectable with two goals late in the game.

Tommy Rowe pulled a goal back on 87 minutes and an injury time penalty from Niall Mason gave the disappointed travelling supporters something to cheer about but it only masked a disappointing result.
