Doncaster Rovers stuck with the same eleven that won at Derby County last Saturday but came away with no points after falling to a late penalty.

Some great news for Rovers was the return to the squad of Brian Stock who was one of the substitutes.

In a goalless first half, Coventry City had the best chance when they won a penalty close to half time after Sullivan brought down Best.

Earlier in the half Rovers nearly fell behind in bizarre circumstances; the game had been stopped after an injury to Rovers defender Jason Shackell. David Bell hit the ball back to Neil Sullivan, it sailed over the keepers head and hit the crossbar.

Best took the kick but his shot hit the post and away from danger.

Former Rovers favourite came close to making the break through in the second half but his shot hit the crossbar.

Coventry brought on Morrison and Madine with just over ten minutes remaining and they was to make an immediate impact.

Coventry won a second penalty of the afternoon inside the final ten minutes when Madine was brought down in the box.

Morrison took this one and made no mistake from the spot.

Rovers will be disappointed to drop their first points of the month and it also brought to and end Billy Sharp`s six consecutive games in which he`d scored.

Rovers have a quick chance to get back to winning ways when they entertain Leicester City on Monday.
