Doncaster Rovers are now just one point away from relegation back to League One after losing to Burnley at the Keepmoat on Monday.

Rovers went down to a 2-1 defeat after Charlie Austin scored a late winner from the penalty spot to make it nine games without a win.

The defeat was made worse with the news that Bristol City had beaten Coventry City at home to move eleven points clear of Rovers with just four games remaining.

Josh McQuoid fired Burnley into a first half lead with a superb strike from distance before Chris Brown equalised for Rovers early in the second half.

Austin scored the winner from the spot after Adam Lockwood had brought down Danny Ings inside the penalty area.

Rovers will be relegated on Saturday if they fail to beat Portsmouth at the Keepmoat or Bristol City win at Birmingham City.
