Doncaster Rovers failed to reach the fifth round of the FA Cup in over fifty years when losing to a late goal at Derby County.

Rovers had progressed to the fourth round in midweek thanks to a late goal at Brentford but this time the boot was on the other foot.

A fairly even contest was decided by Jay McEveley`s well struck left foot shot from the edge of the area in the final minute of normal time which was enough to give the home side a 1-0 win.

It was Derby`s first win over Rovers at the fourth attempt since Rovers returned to the Championship last season.
