Doncaster travelled to Watford for their opening fixture in this seasons Championship.

New recruits Mustapha Dumbuya and John Oster made the bench whilst Quentin Fortune and Byron Webster still haven`t received international clearance.

In a scrappy start to the game Watford took the lead in the 28th minute thanks to Danny Graham.

Doncaster were soon back on level and deservedly so, James Hayter who finished last season amongst the goals drew the sides level with a looping header.

The sides went in at half time level with Rovers finishing the half stronger.

In a slightly better second half, Tommy Smith see`s an effort come back off the bar early in the half.

Rovers then though they had taken the lead, Stocks shot from the edge of the area was saved by Loach, Shiels was given offside from the follow up.

Shiels then thought he`d given Rovers the lead but his effort was adjudged to have not crossed the line.

Tommy Smith thought he`d given Watford the lead with fifteen minutes remaining but his header somehow goes wide.
