In an interview with The Official Doncaster Rovers Website, Rovers manager Sean O’Driscoll stated that he would be interested in bringing Luton Town’s 21 year old striker Calvin Andrew to The Keepmoat Stadium.

O’Driscoll commented on the matter by saying ‘He’s 21, it’s a good age, He’s althetic and at an age where he can improve. We felt that he fit the bill of an up-and-coming Doncaster Rovers player.’

‘We were interested in him – and still are, to be honest. The Luton scenario is a bit complicated. They’re in administration and I think that an agency has a mandate to sell their players, which is a bit bizarre. And now, they have been bought by a consortium.’

‘He’s someone that would fit the bill, we thought. Whether it’s dead or not, I’m not sure – but we have registered an interest.’

The 21 year old who has spent time on loan at Grimsby Town and Bristol City has scored 4 goals this season, 2 of which were in the FA Cup.
