New Doncaster Rovers boss Dean Saunders took the opportunity to take a look at his squad players by arranging a behind closed doors friendly with Chesterfield.
Saunders but out a strong side for the game with Gary Woods, Sam Hird, Mustapha Dumbuya, Mark Wilson, Milan Lalkovic, Ryan Mason, Giles Barnes and Kyle Bennett all with first team experience this season playing.
There was a welcome return for Ryan Mason who hasn`t featured since suffering an ankle ligament injury in the opening week of the season.
Mason who is on a season long loan from Tottenham Hotspur, completed the 90 minutes as Rovers secured a 3-2 win.
Milan Lalkovic who came on as a late substitute in Tuesday night`s game with Hull City scored twice for Rovers and another substitute from last night, Kyle Bennett scored the other.
