Doncaster Rovers boss Dean Saunders insists that he will have the final say on any new players coming into the club.

Doncaster have appointed football agent Willie McKay has a consultant at the club and he has promised to bring in some big names and he is believed to have the say on who comes in and out of the club.

Saunders says that at the end of the day, if he does not like the player then they will not be arriving at the Keepmoat.

Speaking on Radio Sheffield, Saunders said, “If there are players coming into the club then I get the last say and if I don`t like them then they won`t come in. I am the manager and I get the last say on the players.
“If Willie can produce the players that he can, that nobody else can produce and we can afford to do it then it`s obviously going to help everyone.”

Doncaster have been linked with a whole host of players since Saunders arrival with Pascal Chimbonda, Herita Ilunga and Chris Kirkland already arriving at the Keepmoat.

Saunders admits to speaking to two experienced players but no one else. “I have spoken to Mahamadou Diarra and El Hadji Diouf and I haven`t spoken to anyone else, all the rest of it is speculation.
“As you can see we have got a bit of work to do and we need to get some men into the team quickly.
“We are trying to get players in and we are trying to get really good players in,” he continued.

Saunders will be hoping to add to his squad again quickly after they went down to their third defeat in a row at Portsmouth on Saturday and they remain second bottom in the championship.
