Doncaster Rovers have completed the signing of striker Billy Paynter from Leeds United.

Paynter has been training with the squad at Cantley Park and he has signed a two-year deal at the Keepmoat.

The 28-year-old striker has scored 96 career goals in 382 appearances in an eleven-year professional career that has seen him play for Port Vale, Hull City, Southend United, Bradford City, Swindon Town and Leeds.

He enjoyed his best season at Swindon during the 2009/10 season when he netted 29 times for the League One side.

Paynter struggled in his two seasons at Elland Road netting just 3 goals in 28 appearances.
