Gordon Greer has resumed running after his second hip operation, the Scottish defender suffered an injury laden season in 2006/07 and only made 13 appearances.
Rovers are hoping that he will be able to start full training in the next two weeks.

Sean Mcdaid who suffered a horrific dislocated knee cap at the back end of last season is hoping to be able to step up his training with the help of an injection.
Rovers physio John Dickens speaking in the Star said “We’ll look at the knee again towards the end of next week and what improvement the injection has made and assess what to do next,’

Brian Stock who had to pull out of last weeks Wales squad due to a persistent back injury has added special exercises to his training to hopefully eradicate the problem.

Matt Mills who suffered bruising to his jaw which forced him off in the defeat at QPR last weekend has resumed training and is hoping to play on Saturday against Coventry.

Both Jason Price and Darren Byfield who had summer operations are now pushing for a first team place, they both may have to settle for a place on the bench at the weekend. Both are more likely to feature in a behind closed doors friendly against Leeds next week.
