Doncaster boss Dave Penney will not waste his time scouting the Arsenal first-team ahead of his side’s Carling Cup quarter-final clash with the Gunners.

Rovers earned the clash with Arsene Wenger’s team by seeing off Aston Villa at Beele Vue, and will host the Londoners in the last eight.

But Wenger has played a mixture of youth and reserve team players in previous rounds, meaning Penney will focus his attention on their second string.

He said: ‘I don’t know which team Arsenal will be putting out, but we’ll be watching the reserves to get the best idea.

‘We’ll get the tape of (their win over) Reading and see who we think they will be playing – I don’t expect the likes of Thierry Henry, even if it is a quarter-final.’
