Doncaster Rovers have been dealt a blow after Brian Stock limped out the game against Brighton and Hove Albion with a groin injury.

Stock lasted less than ten minutes of the 1-1 draw at the Keepmoat on Saturday after initially feeling pain in his groin in training on Friday.

Rovers boss Saunders speaking on Radio Sheffield, confirmed the injury. “It is a groin injury. He felt it yesterday and it has gone today, so that is a blow for us.”

Rovers face a busy March and a month on the sidelines would see Stock miss a crucial month with Rover scheduled to play nine games in March.

There was better news with the return of fellow midfielder James Coppinger.

Coppinger made his first appearances since fracturing his cheekbone in the game with Bristol City and he played over an hour on his return to the side.
