Doncaster Rovers have appointed Dean Saunders as their new manager after parting company with Sean O`Driscoll on Friday.

Saunders has joined Rovers on a three-year contract, leaving his post at Blue Square Conference club Wrexham to take up the position.

The 47 year old comes to the Keepmoat with a wealth of experience having played at the top level, with Liverpool and Aston Villa amongst his former clubs as well as representing Wales on 75 occasions.

He leaves Wrexham in second place in the conference, after three years at the Racecourse Ground.
