Doncaster Rovers boss Sean O`Driscoll was left disappointed after seeing his side lose against West Ham United at the Keepmoat as he felt his side failed to do the basics correctly.

Rovers were beaten 1-0, with Kevin Nolan scoring the only goal of the game inside the opening ten minutes.

O`Driscoll felt that his side conceded the goal after a sloppy pass, something they were guilty of in midweek in the Carling Cup. O`Driscoll admitted that at this level his side would be punished for such mistakes.
Speaking on the official website, O`Driscoll said, “If things don`t go well we need to make sure we do the basics right. We need to get into the right shape for goal kicks and keep the right shape all the time when the ball`s dead.”

It is the first time that Rovers have lost their opening two games since the 1998/99 season, although they will feel unlucky to have not earned a point from their opening two games.

Rovers now face Nottingham Forest at the Keepmoat on Tuesday night, desperate to get their season off and running.
