Doncaster Rovers boss Sean O`Driscoll was disappointed his side were denied a goal in the opening game of the season at Watford.

Rovers thought they had taken the lead in the 57th minute when Dean Shiels effort looked like it had crossed the line, unfortunately, the referee and his assistant did not agree.

Speaking on RoversWorld after the game O`Driscoll said, ‘We’ve got a tape of the game and it’s clearly over the line,’

In a scrappy game Rovers fell behind to a Danny Graham goal just short of the half hour. Rovers were soon back on level terms when Brian Stock`s cross was powerfully headed over keeper Loach from the edge of the area.

Talking about the game O`Driscoll said, ‘Two sides worked hard without much quality. I’m sure Malky would say the same. I think we can both play a lot better than we showed.”

Rovers are back on the road again in midweek when they go to big spending League Two side Notts County in the Carling Cup hoping to gain revenge after losing to the Magpies 1-0 at the same stage last season.
