Doncaster Rovers are hoping their game against Bury this weekend will go ahead despite freezing temperatures and snow hitting the area.

Club staff are set to start clearing the pitch, stands and surrounding areas on Friday morning, as the area has been hit by the ‘Beast from the east` this week along with the rest of the UK.

Officials are set to hold an initial inspection on Friday and manager Darren Ferguson admits it is looking very doubtful at the moment.

“You`d have to say it`s a doubt,” Ferguson told BBC Radio Sheffield.

“The problem we`ve got, whether there is any more snow or not, is the temperature is not rising. You would have to say it`s a big, big doubt.

“If it`s like this tomorrow we`ll probably get someone in tomorrow afternoon to have a look at it and common sense will have to prevail.

“It`s looking a big doubt I have to say.”

Games have already started to fall ahead of the weekend with two games in Yorkshire already postponed.

The Championship clash at Bramall Lane between Sheffield United and the League One clash between Bradford City and Portsmouth have already been postponed.
