Doncaster Rovers defender Mustapha Dumbuya has signed a new eighteen month deal with the club.

Dumbuya has impressed since getting his chance in the side this season playing at both right back and left back.

The 23 year old has made 15 appearances so far this season and as become a firm fans favourite.

Dumbuya joined Rovers in a one-year deal in the summer of 2009 after a successful trial but after only making three appearances, he was only given a new one-year deal at the start of this season.

The former Grays Athletic defender took his chance during pre season with a number of excellent performances that earned him his first starting place in the Carling cup clash with Accrington Stanley.

Dumbuya has started all but one of Rovers games since making his first Championship start in the 3-1 home win over Norwich City in September.
