New on loan goalkeeper David Button is hoping to do enough to earn longer stay at the Keepmoat.

The 22 year old only arrived on a one-month loan deal on the eve of the game with Barnsley from Tottenham Hotspur and he is hoping to do enough to impress Rovers boss Dean Saunders and extend his stay at the Keepmoat.

Button helped Doncaster Rovers win their first game of 2012 by keeping a clean sheet in the 2-0 win over Barnsley.

Speaking on the official website , Button said, “Hopefully I can do enough to impress the gaffer while I`m here and if I do well, he might want to keep me to the end of the season.

“If that happens I will be delighted.”

Rovers currently only have Gary Woods with first team experience fit at the club, with Neil Sullivan and Carl Ikeme expected to spend time on the sidelines with hand injuries.

Button cut short his loan deal with Leyton Orient to sign for Rovers.

The England under 20 international was due to stay with Orient until January 7th, having joined the London club on loan in August. He made just two appearances during his time with Orient, with them both coming in August.
