The Football League has rewarded Doncaster Rovers with a Family Excellence Gold Award.

Doncaster are one of just ten Football League clubs to receive the reward in 2018 for their hard work in making the Keepmoat Stadium a welcoming environment for families.

The club have worked hard to make matchday a great day out for families with a number of activities going on around and inside the stadium prior to kick-off.

Doncaster are one of just three clubs from outside of the Championship to receive the award. Fellow League One club Blackburn Rovers also received the award whilst Luton Town were the only club from League Two to receive the award by the Football League.

This award follows hot on the heels of Doncaster player Matty Blair picking up an award at the annual Football League Awards ceremony for his hard work in the community. Blair picked up the Player in the Community award, the second Doncaster player in the last two seasons to pick up the award after Andy Butler won the award in 2017.

Aston Villa, Blackburn Rovers, Cardiff City, Derby County, Fulham, Luton Town, Middlesbrough, Queens Park Rangers and Reading are the other nine clubs from the Football League to receive the Family Excellence Award.
