Harry Worley has joined Doncaster Rovers on loan from Premiership champions Chelsea. Whilst a large majority of Rovers fans were expecting a forward to join, Sean O’Driscoll has opted to strengthen the defence.

The 6’3 centre-back goes into the squad to face Nottingham Forest tomorrow night.

Worley started his career at Stockport. The Premiership giants paid £150k for his services.

Speaking on the Rovers Official Website Worley said: ‘I had a call this morning from my Academy Manager Neil Bath to say that Rovers had shown an interest in me. I had a chat with the manager and knew straight away that I wanted to come here so jumped on a train and here I am!

‘I’ve come here to gain some experience and be part of a first team set up. I don’t know what the future holds although I still have another year on my contract at Chelsea. I hope to do my best for this club while I am here and see how it goes.’
