Doncaster Rover dropped back to the bottom of the championship on an emotional night at the Keepmoat.

The club announced prior to kick off that striker Billy Sharp had lost his two-day-old son at the weekend.

Amazingly Sharp was back in the side for Rovers despite the tragic loss of his son at the weekend and El Hadji Diouf started after signing for the club on Monday.

Sharp opened the scoring for Rovers inside fifteen minutes with a strike from the edge of the area, after the goal he lifted his shirt to show a sign saying. ‘That`s for you son.`

Barry Robson equalised for Boro on the half hour with a strike from the edge of the area and the visitors went in at half time ahead when Neil Sullivan allowed an effort from Marvin Emnes to go under him.

Robson secured the points for Boro half way through the half when he beat Sullivan from the penalty spot following a Pascal Chimbonda foul on Tony McMahon.
