Billy Sharp marked his return to Doncaster Rovers with a goal as he equalised to earn them a point at Blackpool.

Sharp got the faintest of touches on a cross from David Cotterill to equalise for Rovers with just five minutes remaining. The goal came just seven minutes after Blackpool had taken the lead. Andy Halliday, who only joined the seasiders on loan from Middlesbrough on Friday, was on hand to poke home after Rovers failed to clear their lines.

Rovers almost won the game in the final minutes but Sharp couldn`t keep down his header but they would have been delighted to have come away with a point after going behind so late on in the game.

The point for Rovers lifts them out of the relegation zone and next up is a crucial six-pointer against Charlton Athletic at the Keepmoat on Tuesday night.
