Doncaster Rovers enjoyed an excellent day out by the seaside as they came after from Blackpool with all three points in a 2-1 win.

Tommy Rowe scored in each half for Doncaster as they enjoyed their first away win since December.

Rowe opened the scoring just before the break in a fortuitous manner when his long-range shot looped over the head of Blackpool goalkeeper Joe Lumley.

Blackpool came out fighting in the second half when they were only denied an equaliser when Doncaster goalkeeper Marko Marosi made a superb save to deny Armand Gnanduillet.

The home side were level soon afterwards soon afterwards when a long ball found Charlie Daniel and he fired under Marosi.

Doncaster won the game with just 20 minutes remaining when a clever free-kick caught Blackpool off-guard.

With Blackpool expecting a shot from James Coppinger, the ball was played to Rowe, who was stood in front of the ball, and he swivelled to fire the ball past Lumley.

The win takes Doncaster onto 49 points as they move towards the top half of the League One table.
