Doncaster Rovers won for the second time on penalties in the group stage of the Checkatrade Trophy as they edged past Scunthorpe United.

Doncaster won 3-2 on penalties after the game had finished 1-1 in 90 minutes.

Liam Mandeville gave Doncaster a first half lead when he steered the ball home but Clayton Lewis equalised for Scunthorpe to ensure the game went to penalties.
