Doncaster Rovers had to settle for a point in a six-goal thriller against Blackpool despite going ahead on three occasions.

An own goal from Blackpool goalkeeper Ryan Allsopp as well as goals from John Marquis and Alfie May put Doncaster ahead three times but they couldn`t hold onto their lead on any occasion with two of the equalisers coming just one minute after Doncaster had scored.

Doncaster went ahead on 37 minutes when a long-range effort from Tommy Rowe came off the crossbar and off the back of Blackpool goalkeeper Allsop and into the goal.

The lead was short lived as Blackpool drew level within a minute when Sean Longstaff fired home from distance.

Doncaster went ahead for a second time in first half injury time when Marquis hooked the ball home for his second goal of the season.

Blackpool levelled for a second time with another fine strike from distance. Oliver Turton cut in from the Blackpool right before finding the top corner from 20-yards out.

Doncaster substitute May put the home side ahead again with just 15 minutes remaining when he pounced on some poor defending to fire home. Once again, Doncaster couldn`t hang onto their lead and a minute later Blackpool substitute Callum Cooke side footed the ball home from just inside the area.

May forced Allsop into a late save as Doncaster looked for a winner but they had to settle for a point as they made it two draws from two games at the Keepmoat this season.
