Doncaster Rovers missed out on the main Johnstone’s Paint Community Club of the Year at the Football League awards dinner.

Rovers lost out to South East winners Brentford for the main award after winning the North East regional award.

Derby County (Midlands Winner), Morecambe (North West Winner) and Portsmouth (South West Winner) were also shortlisted for the award.

Despite the disappointment of not winning the main award it is a fantastic achievement by everyone at the club to have won the regional award and he on the shortlist of the 72 clubs from the Football League.

In other awards, former Rovers loan player Franck Moussa picked up the Football League goal of the year for his strike for Coventry City against Leyton Orient.
