Doncaster brought an end a run of four straight defeats with a hard fought point in a 0-0 draw at Leicester City.

Rovers made one change from the side beaten by Reading at the weekend, James Hayter replacing Dean Shiels who failed to shrug of an injury picked up in the game.

In a very tight game with few clear-cut chances, James Hayter had Rovers best early effort but his shot rebounded off teammate Billy Sharp.

The game was held up for seven minutes during the first half after Leicester City player Matt Fryatt suffered a suspected broken jaw after a collision with Brian Stock.

Leicester almost broke the deadlock soon after the game resumed when former Rovers midfielder Richie Wellens saw an effort cleared off the line.

Bruno Berner should have given the home side the lead before the break but he put his header wide of the target when unmarked.

The home side looked the most likely to break the deadlock after the break without ever seriously threatening Sullivan in the Rovers goal.

Rovers best chance of the second half fell to Billy Sharp but he shot wide after a swift attacking move.

Rovers will be happy with a point after recent results, it sees them now sitting in sixteenth place but only two points above the drop zone and a tricky home game against high flying Nottingham Forest up next.
