Rovers claim three points

Doncaster won for the first time in six games as an own goal was enough to beat Burnley.

There was a few changes to the side beaten by Barnsley last week. Gary Woods replaced the injured Neil Sullivan in goal, Brian Stock returned after injury, and there was a first start for Paul Keegan.

Burnley had the first chance on target when Woods saved from Charlie Austin.

John Oster had Rovers first sight of goal but his effort went over the bar.

Chances were at a premium and O`Connor and Sharp both missed the target with efforts for Rovers.

Neither side were forcing the keepers into a save as good defending and poor shooting meant they went in at the break goalless.

The chances continued to be at a premium and Billy Sharp had the first effort on target in the second half but Grant saved his shot.

Rovers took the lead on 59 minutes when Michael Duff put through his own goal after a cross from Coppinger.

Dean Marney tried to get the visitors level shortly afterwards but his effort went wide of the post.

Rodriguez then saw a header go over the bar as Burnley continued to search for an equaliser.

Rovers managed to hang on to claim their first win for a month and move up to fourteenth place in the Championship.
