Doncaster Rovers went down to their fourth consecutive defeat at Derby County on Saturday and remain rooted to the bottom of the championship.

The rams continued their great start to the season, making it four wins out of four.

Rovers handed a debut to new Chelsea loan signing Milan Lalkovic.

Derby were ahead inside ten minutes when Kevin Kilbane rose highest to power a header past Gary Woods from a corner.

Rovers best chance of the first half fell to former rams player Giles Barnes but his shot ended up closer to row z than the back of the net.

The game was over as a contest within twenty seconds of the start of the second half when Ben Davies found Steve Davies at the back post to put another header past Woods.

Ben Davies made it three with a nice finish from the edge of the area just past the hour.

Rovers are now back in Carling Cup action in midweek when they entertain Leeds United.

Next up in the championship for Rovers is an home game with Bristol City on Saturday, a game they simply must take something from to get their season going.
