Released Doncaster Rovers midfielder Paul Keegan has joined Irish League side Waterford.

The 33-year-old Irishman has returned to his homeland after six-years at the Keepmoat Stadium.

Keegan made a dream start on Saturday when he scored the only goal of the game on his debut in the 1-0 win at Longford Town, a win that keeps them at the top of the Irish First Division.

The midfielder made 145 appearances during his time at Doncaster helping the side win the League One title in 2013.
