Speaking after the Leyton Orient game, Doncaster Rovers manager Sean O’Driscoll had this to say: ‘The warm conditions did not help but Orient did not do badly in the first half.

‘Had this been the first game of the season then at the break we would have been looking for 11 new players. Our control of the game was poor and we gave the ball away too readily. We really struggled.

‘Yet in the second half we got a stranglehold on the game, played some good football and created chances. There is so much we can do better.

Rovers fans are becoming baffled by O’Driscoll team selections and management style. O’Driscoll had to ask for extra stewards to monitor his dugout on Saturday as a section of Rovers fans were hauling abuse at the under-fire manager.

With three wins from the last 15 matches O’Driscoll is a man under pressure.
