A John Marquis double ensured Doncaster Rovers moved a step closer to guaranteeing their safety in League One as they beat Bradford City 2-0 at the Keepmoat Stadium.

A poor game was brought to life in the final 15 minutes as Marquis scored twice for Doncaster.

Marquis opened the scoring on 75 minutes when a tantalising cross from Niall Mason found Marquis and he powered his header past Colin Doyle.

Doncaster doubled their lead in injury time with Bradford chasing the game. A swift break eventually found Marquis and he cut in from a tight angle before smashing the ball under Doyle.

The two goals were the only real chances created by Doncaster in the game whilst Bradford had their best opportunity in the opening ten minutes when Timothy Dieng saw his effort cleared off the line by Doncaster defender Joe Wright.
