Doncaster Rovers midfielder Issam Ben Khemis scored the only goal of the game for the development team as they beat Walsall 1-0.

Ben Khemis returned to the first team squad at the weekend as an unused substitute after missing the last seven games with a ligament injury he picked up at Shrewsbury Town in January.

The French youngster unleashed a 30-yard effort in the first half to score the only goal of the game.

The game also saw Andy Williams continue his comeback from injury. The striker also returned to the first team squad at Southend United at the weekend after three-months on the sidelines with an ankle injury.

Williams twice hit the woodwork as Doncaster enjoyed a rare win in the development league.

Doncaster also included Rodney Kongolo, Alfie May and Tyler Garratt in their starting eleven.
