Doncaster Rovers striker Alex Peterson has signed a new one-year deal at the Keepmoat.

The 19-year-old striker has come from the clubs youth system and he made five appearances for the club last season after signing his first professional contract at the club last summer.

Peterson made his debut in the rearranged game at Charlton Athletic in November and he made his only start in the game against Millwall over the festive period.

The young striker found first team opportunities limited in the second half of the season following the return of Billy Sharp and he spent the final few months of the season on loan at Conference Premier Division side Barnet where he made one appearance.
