Young midfielder John Lundstram will be extending his loan at Doncaster Rovers until the end of the season after impressing in his first month at the club from Premier League side Everton.

The 19-year-old was due to return to Everton after the game with Portsmouth on Saturday but the club have agreed a loan extension with the toffees until the end of the season as Rovers push for promotion.

The combative midfielder has impressed since arriving at the Keepmoat Stadium and he has played in all six games for Rovers since his arrival.

Lundstram was substituted with six minutes remaining of the draw with Portsmouth on Saturday after picking up a knock and he is now joining up with the England under-19 squad ahead of their friendly with Turkey on Thursday night, where the injury will be assessed.
