Doncaster Rovers defender Joe Wright says he is happy to sort out a new deal at the club before the end of the season.
Doncaster have taken the option to extend the defenders deal for a further year until the summer of 2019 after an impressive season in the Doncaster defence.
Wright has made 33 appearances this season and he recently returned to the side following injury and with the end of the season now less than two-months away, the 23-year-old is pleased to get a new deal sorted.
‘It’s good to have another year added on to my contract, it’s been enjoyable this season so it’s pleasing to get it sorted nice and early.
‘It can be put to one side now and we can all focus on the football side of things, it’s been discussed for a while and the manager is happy with how I’ve stepped up this season.’
Wright has been a regular at the heart of the Doncaster defence this season and his recent appearance at Rotherham United was his sixtieth for the club since signing from Huddersfield Town in the summer of 2016.
