Injury plagued Martin Woods could be out until well into New Year after seeing his surgeon this week about his on-going groin problem.

The midfielder will now have to wait until next month to find out whether he will require further surgery on the groin injury that has seen him make just one appearance since last October.

Woods has not featured for Doncaster since January against Reading, where he was making his first appearance since October, also against Reading, as he made just 15 appearances during last season.

In other Rovers injury news, James Chambers, Toomy Spurr, Rachid Bouhenna and John Oster will all be out until the New Year as they continue their recoveries from surgery.

Slightly better news is that Paul Keegan is set to return to training next week.

The midfielder has made just two substitute appearances since March.
