Doncaster Rovers face competition from Wolverhampton Wanderers for Hull City striker Nick Proschwitz.
Hull boss Steve Bruce has confirmed that Rovers have been in touch about the possibility of taking the striker to the Keepmoat.
Speaking in the Sheffield Star , Bruce said, “Doncaster have made an enquiry for Nick and I do believe there`s been one from Wolves too.
“We`ll look at that over the next week or so and have a conversation with Nick as to what he wants to do.”
The giant German striker has failed to impress since joining Hull for £2.5 million in the summer of 2012.
He scored just five goals in 31 appearances, with most of those appearances coming from the subs bench.
This season, he has made just six appearances, although he started and scored in his last appearance at Middlesbrough in the FA Cup at the start of the month.
With Bruce adding strikers Nikola Jelavic and Shane Long to his squad this week, Proschwitz looks to have little future at the KC Stadium and Rovers boss Paul Dickov will be hoping to benefit.
Rovers are desperate for an attacking option with Theo Robinson injured, Federico Macheda returning to Manchester United after coming to the end of his loan and Billy Paynter joining Sheffield United on loan.
Chris Brown is the only experienced striker currently with the club. Brown has been struggling with injuries in recent months and he has netted just three times this season.
Rovers have failed to score in eight of their last twelve championship games and a striker is the main priority of Dickov if they are to have any chance of remaining in the championship having slipped into the relegation zone since the turn of the year.
