Richie Wellens has escaped charge by the FA over the spit charges that were brought against him for an incident in the Swansea City game on February 21st.

Wellens was charged by the FA after Swansea City player Leon Britton accused the Rovers midfielder of spitting at him during a highly charged league encounter.

The midfielder was eventually sent off during the game for a later incident but after an FA hearing on Tuesday was cleared of any allegations and will now not face a charge.
