Doncaster Rovers continued their winning start to pre season with two late goals at Grimsby Town to make it four wins from four games.

Paul Heffernan opened the scoring in the 73rd minute and trialist Jason Walker from Barrow made it two goals in two games late in the game to secure the victory.


Ben Smith still had time to deny Grimsby from the penalty spot inside the last five minutes when he dived to the right to save Barry Conlon`s penalty

Sean O`Driscoll once again used the game to give the vast majority of his squad a run out.

O`Driscoll once again made wholesale changes at half time with eight substitutions being made.

John Oster and Quentin Fortune who are also on trial at the club both enjoyed time on the pitch during the game.

Rovers next outing is the Mickey Walker testimonial game at the Keepmoat on Saturday against Wolverhampton Wanderers.
