Doncaster Rovers look set to be without Harry Middleton, Craig Alcock and Joey McCormick for the start of the season after the trio picked up injuries in the game with Newcastle United on Wednesday night.

Both Alcock and Middleton left the field on a stretcher whilst McCormick was forced off in the closing minutes with a dislocated shoulder.

Middleton is set for scans on a knee ligament injury and Alcock on an ankle ligament injury.

The trio will join fellow long-term injured Aaron Taylor-Sinclair on the sidelines for the start of the season.

On a bad night for injuries, Joe Wright was also forced off after suffering a reoccurrence of a toe injury but he is expected to be back in time for the season opener at Accrington Stanley on August 6th.
