Doncaster Rovers boss Paul Dickov says the three trialists at the club are doing well and he will continue looking at them in pre-season.

Defender Luke McCullough, released by Manchester United at the end of the season, Sanchez Payne, released by Leeds United and Danny Philliskirk, released by Coventry City all featured in the 3-0 win at Rossington on Tuesday night.

The three youngsters have all been tipped to join the club and play in the newly formed development squad and Dickov says all three have potential.

Speaking in the South Yorkshire Times , Dickov said, “I think they`ve done well and I think they did a lot better at Rossington.

“Danny is looking a lot sharper and caused a few more problems.

“You can see Sanchez has got the pace and the trick, he just needs to simplify his game a little bit.

“And Luke for a 19-year-old kid at the back he`s got a lot of maturity. He`s calm, probably a bit too calm at times.

“All three have got a lot of potential and we`ll keep having a look at them.”

McCullough came through the Manchester United youth system and he had a short loan spell with Cheltenham last season. Payne came through the Leeds United academy and he enjoyed a few loan spells in non-league football whilst Philliskirk has had short spells with Oxford United, Sheffield United and Coventry City following his release from Chelsea.
