Peter Clarke has signed a one-year deal with Blackpool after starting the summer on trial at Doncaster Rovers.

The experienced defender looked all set to join Rovers until the takeover at the Keepmoat by John Ryan and Louis Tomlinson collapsed, leaving the deal dead in the water.

Clarke has joined Blackpool for the second time in his career having enjoyed two-years at Bloomfield Road between 2004 and 2006 and he was named the clubs player of the season in his first season at the club.
