Doncaster Rovers boss Dean Saunders could face problems in defence for the trip to table toppers Tranmere Rovers on Tuesday night.

Jamie McCombe, Shelton Martis and James Husband are all injured and Rob Jones could be a doubt after breaking his thumb on Saturday.

Saunders has drafted in veteran defender Andy Griffin on a non-contract basis but it is unclear how fit the 33 year old is, having been without a club since the summer and not played a competitive game since January.

Tranmere look set to be without on loan striker Jake Jervis who picked up an ankle injury in the defeat at Bournemouth at the weekend.

Tranmere boss Ronnie Moore will be hopeful the influential Andy Robinson and Joe Thompson will be available after missing the Bournemouth game through injury.

Definitely out is Jean-Louis Akpa Akpro who had surgery on a broken metatarsal last week.
