Doncaster travelled to the seaside to play Blackpool, another team who were in the relegation battle.

Rovers made one change from the side that lost at Aston Villa in midweek, Paul Heffernan replaced Jason Price, there was no place even on the bench for new signing Dean Shiels.

Richie Wellens had Rovers first chance but his chip just cleared the bar.

After some pressure from Blackpool they finally took the lead when Vaughan cut in and shot from 20 yards and beat Sullivan in the Rovers goal.

Blackpool enjoyed some good possession after this but it was Rovers who scored the next goal, Brian Stock blasted one in from the edge of the box giving the Blackpool keeper no chance.

The sides went in 1-1 at half time with both sides feeling confident of taking all three points in the second half.

The second half was played at a break neck pace with both teams wanting the three points.

Sam Hird put Rovers in front for the first time in the game after good work from Coppinger down the wing, his low cross was met by Hird who blasted it into the back of the net.

The lead was very short lived; DJ Campbell picked up on some sloppy Rovers play and drew the side`s level.

James Coppinger scored the winning goal for Rovers with just over twenty minutes remaining, he picked the ball up just inside the Blackpool half and proceeded to the edge of the area before hitting his shot past the Blackpool keeper.

With just over ten minutes remaining Blackpool were reduced to ten men when Charlie Adam was shown a straight red for kicking out at Richie Wellens.

Rovers ran down the clock to record their fourth straight away league win and moved up to 19th in the Championship table.

Next up is a South Yorkshire derby against Sheffield Wednesday at the Keepmoat next Saturday.
