Doncaster Rovers goalkeeper Neil Sullivan is set to sign a new deal at the Keepmoat after being offered a new contract by the club.
The veteran keeper is out of contract again this summer after extending his time at the club by twelve months at the same time last year.
The 41 year old continues to defy age and he made 34 appearances last season for Rovers.
Rovers assistant manager Richard O`Kelly puts it down to Sullivan`s dedication and professionalism. Speaking in the Sheffield Star , O`Kelly said, “Neil is a good professional. “He trains well and looks after himself and he`s a great example to other players.
“In some ways his age doesn`t come into it. He comes in every day and works extremely hard.
“He`s got a great rapport with his coach (Lee Butler) and he`s been very influential in Gary Woods coming to the fore this season, so he`s a good person to have around.”
Sullivan has made just over 200 appearances for Rovers since joining them from Leeds United, initially on loan during the 2006/07 season.
The experienced goalkeeper who has played for Wimbledon, Chelsea and Spurs at the top level during his career, was told by then Leeds boss Dennis Wise that ‘he just wasn`t good enough` and allowed him to sign Rovers.
Sullivan as certainly made Wise eat is words over the past five seasons during his time at the Keepmoat.
