Brian Stock won his first full international cap for Wales when starting against Russia in a World Cup Qualifier at the Millennium Stadium.

He became only the second Rovers player to represent Wales at full international level whilst at the club, the other was Eddie Perry way back in the 1930`s.

Stock wore the number seven shirt and started the game well, his 35 yard screamer just going wide of the post in the fifth minute.

The Rovers midfielder played the full 90 minutes in the sides 3-1 defeat, it brought to an end any slim hopes of the country reaching the World Cup finals.
